SYNOPSIS
Santo Tirso's carries the textile industry as its legacy. For decades, spinning and weaving acted as the city's brand image. Surrounded by industrial complexes, people from the region, often as children, were urged to work among looms and bobbins.
Emília and Judite (sisters), Teresa and Conceição are unknowingly linked by an invisible line. Due to their proximity in age, because they lived in Santo Tirso and for having humble origins, their lives were connected to fabrics, needles, and threads. They all dedicated their entire lives to their craft, and still do. Still, each one is unique, like a patch in the city's quilt.
On a trip down memory lane, these four women share stories of professional independence and memories of the textile legacy.
